Hmmm…. can’t say I’m of the opinion that marriage is chosen for us.

For it is up to us to make marriage work.

Allah(SWT) chooses where we are born, who our parents are, what kind of weather it is where we are etc. These are things we cannot control

Whereas our spouse is something we choose -and the wellbeing of the marriage is something we control (together with our spouse).

If we are blessed with marriage it is through Allah’s grace, but there is no telling that she is “written” for you at the time of nikah - for you are unaware of what the future has in store… and if the marriage will last.

Nonetheless - it’s a useful one for impressing the wife. Muslim pickup lines 101… and now I’m laughing at myself for analyzing this..
